Donné et Desirée
Donné et Desirée are two nice, but somewhat boisterous blokes. One of them hits, strokes, scratches and throws things, among which is a drum kit, the other owns a huge loudspeaker and does things with guitars, loopstations and other very 21st century devices. Influenced by No Wave, Free Jazz and the New York School, they create harmonic, rhythmic tonal and atonal clouds of sound. Donné et Desirée are nicely abstract, and do like minimalism, magnetism, gravity and feedback.In short: a cool post/avant rock duo from the Netherlands, adding blasts of free jazz to their no wave, which references both MC5 and John Cage.
