Not very different from their ancestors that migrated westward in the 19th century, the four members of Sonson left the harsh and rocky lands of Småland (Swe) in pursuit of more favorable grounds. They never crossed the Atlantic to grow potatoes. Instead they settled by the west coast and started making music.
Music with its crooked roots anchored in groove, rhythm and drive.
Dreamy Boogie thrusting it’s way forth in an hypnotic swirl across fevered illusions projected through a slowly rotating prism.
In this writing moment Sonson has been making music for more or less three years, they have released two recordings on the german label Kapitän Platte.
Extrapool was one of the stops along the €uro tour in May 2014, that was carried out together with the band Sork.
