Meri Nikula

MERI NIKULA is an experimental vocalist, performance and video artist from Finland. Her own voice and body are the core elements of her artistic work. Meri’s work is very visceral, often a sensual experience. She has developed a concept she calls ‘Vocal Mosaic’ making collages of her voice in layers, using various vocal techniques. Meri graduated in 2007 from the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague, The Netherlands, with a solo performance for voice, body and video. She is a global nomad residing in the Arctic Norway at the moment. She continues to explore the limitless possibilities of voice and to create experimental performances and video works, as well as to collaborate with a wide range of creators internationally.
